Tru-White™ core is our top selling standard core mat. It is not only acid free, it is lignin free. Lignin is the property in paper based mats that produces acid. Acid is the property that deteriorates the mat over time (it turns color) and deteriorates your artwork or image. Often called "acid burn", the 45 degree bevel, the surface and even the artwork within are permanently changed. Now you can get a super thick, 7 ply Tru-White™ in a 1step easy™ mat kit.
